Indian artist Raghu DIxit wowed an audience of music critics and executives from around the world at Perth's One Movement music convention.

One reviewer noted "This guy was possibly the highlight of the weekend; not because he had the best music (though it was pretty damn cool), but because of his charisma and the embodiment of what the Festival was all about; sharing music on an international level."

Brisbane Times Interview Robert Horsfall

RAGHU ROCKS THE JAZZ CAFE

Raghu Dixit played to a packed Jazz Cafe in London last night, as part of his latest UK trip, which includes more promotional work and more shows including Band On The Wall in Manchester on Sunday 19 September 2010. The trip is supporting the UK release of his album, Raghu Dixit, on 20 September 2010 and which is being distributed by Wrasse Records for the UK and Ireland. Raghu is already picking up strong word of mouth support, with the live shows playing a pivotal role as fans connect with his engaging personality and performance.

RAGHU SIGNS TO SONY/ATV

Raghu Dixit has signed a worldwide publishing deal with Sony/ ATV Music Publishing. Raghu was signed by Sony/ ATV Music UK Managing Director Rak Sanghvi, following a London showcase Raghu played earlier in the year. Raghu's manager, Paul Knowles, is working closely with Sound Advice, who are acting as Raghu's business managers, in helping establish Raghu internationally. There has already been strong support for Raghu from the UK and Australian markets and the longer term plan will be to establish Raghu as a contemporary Indian folk artist around the world.

The annual Sound and Vision charity auction in association with Abbey Road Studios is now in full swing, having launched on February 1st and running right through until February 21st. People can bid for some amazing music memorabilia, including signed drum skins and guitars, and hand written lyrics by musical legends like Clapton, Bob Dylan and Kaiser Chiefs. Also up for auction are a limited number of tickets for the sold out main event, held at Abbey Road on February 25th. This year’s big night includes performances from David Gray, Newton Faulkner, Beth Neil Chapman, and Sound Advice client, Robert Plant.

Sound and Vision is run by Connected 2 Sound Advice’s charity of choice, Cancer Research, and celebrates the visual and creative inspirations which drive music’s production.

Last year’s event, for which Sound Advice were official sponsors, was a huge success, raising over £200,000 towards the charity. This year, with the financial climate on the up, organisers are hoping the support will be even greater.
